Key Installation Considerations for Resin Concrete Drainage Channels
Resin concrete drainage channels are widely used in municipal projects, parking lots, industrial parks, and similar applications due to their high strength, corrosion resistance, and lightweight properties. The quality of installation directly affects drainage efficiency and service life, requiring strict control at every stage of construction.
Pre-construction:
Verify the specifications, location, and slope according to design drawings. Inspect the channels, covers, and other components for integrity. Excavate the trench to a width 20–30 cm wider than the channel itself, remove debris and sludge, and reinforce the foundation if the soil is loose.
Installation:
Lay a C25 or higher concrete base of at least 10 cm, compact it thoroughly, and allow it to cure for a minimum of 7 days. Handle the channel units with care, align them along the centerline, and use a level to calibrate the slope (0.5%–2%). Apply specialized connectors and sealant at joints to prevent leakage. When backfilling, compact in layers, with each layer not exceeding 15 cm.
Covers:
Ensure covers match the correct dimensions, are securely fixed, and are flush with the finished ground level.
Post-installation:
Conduct a water flow test to confirm there is no leakage and that drainage is smooth before acceptance.
Maintenance:
Regularly remove debris, inspect covers and joints, and promptly repair any damage to extend the service life.
