Beijing International Horticultural Exposition International Pavilion

The Beijing Expo is the highest-level world horticultural expo hosted by the Chinese government and undertaken by Beijing. It is held in Yanqing District, Beijing, for 162 days. When the Expo opened at the end of April 2019, President Xi Jinping also went to witness the opening ceremony in person. The main buildings of the Expo are divided into: China Pavilion, International Pavilion, Botanical Pavilion, and Life Experience Pavilion.
We undertook the rainwater collection project around the International Pavilion. The International Pavilion is an environmentally friendly and low-energy building that uses sustainable technologies such as building shading, natural ventilation, photovoltaic power generation, evaporative cooling, drip irrigation technology, and rainwater recycling. Its building roof is composed of 94 "white flower umbrellas". The columns of the flower umbrellas can collect rainwater from the roof and make it seep into the reservoir. When there is too much rain, it will flow into the drainage ditch for landscape water, greening water, road washing, etc. The International Pavilion rainwater collection project was completed and accepted at the end of December 2018.
